Bee and PuppyCat: Phone Charm
As soon as I saw Bee's phone charm in episode 1, I knew I had to make a bee for my Bee (Tory) ^^.
The body and wings are crocheted with embroidery floss. The eyes are sewed on with seed beads. It was really fun to make but got a little difficult to see when I was crocheting the black band.

Petite Project: Straw Stars
I've had a bunch of plastic origami
straws in the back of my closet for years. Thought it was about time
I did something with it
It took awhile to get them all done. I
could only get about 4 or 5 done at a time before my fingers started
to hurt and they stained my fingers a bit.
Not really sure what to do with them.
For now they'll be sitting in this bottle. I really thought I would
have enough to at least fill it up more than half way.

Cross Stitch Butterfly WIP
I started this little project last week while I was away at Anime Boston. The first time I tried cross stitch I didn't like it much so I thought I mind as well give it another go. This was a kit I purchased at Jo-Ann. It was the perfect size to be able to carry in my pocket and work on while waiting in lines and such. I'm not sure how I feel about the colors but no major mistakes yet... Most of the body is finished and will be working on the background soon.
When I took this photo I realized I had missed a few stitches.
The back for the curious.

Miniature Doctor Who Scarf
My first completed knitting project! A gift for one of my dearest friends. It's made with roughly 36 skeins of embroidery floss on 1.75mm(00US) knitting needles. It's roughly 7'2"x1.5". I never expected it to be so long!
I do prefer it rolled up cause it looks like a cross section of a tree :)
The pattern used can be found here: http://www.doctorwhoscarf.com/

End of Semester
Just had my review this past Friday. It went fairly well. I got 8 pieces done and painted one warp. Though I fell like I should have gotten more done :/
I'll have a more detailed description of each piece once I have all my photos sorted out.

I'm glad I took a photo of these guys. I made them for the Fibers Fundraiser at the beginning of the month. They didn't sell well so I gave them to my friends as christmas gifts.

Current Weaving Project
And so it begins! I've been experimenting with color and structure weavings for my studio work and for this project I wanted to see what kind would happen if I dyed the warp leaving it in a chain. The warp is made of 8/2 tencel at 24 epi. It's 11yrds long consisting of 5 pieces.
After taking it off the warping mill I boiled the chain just to make sure I had a good resist.
I made a bunch of colors while the chain was boiling and soaking in soda ash.
Oh look it's me!
Looks like the chain might be a little too tight. There's a chance there might be more white on the warp than I originally intended it to be. We'll see what happens...
All photos in this post was taken by the lovely Tory.
