Petite Project: Straw Stars

I've had a bunch of plastic origami straws in the back of my closet for years. Thought it was about time I did something with it

It took awhile to get them all done. I could only get about 4 or 5 done at a time before my fingers started to hurt and they stained my fingers a bit.

Not really sure what to do with them. For now they'll be sitting in this bottle. I really thought I would have enough to at least fill it up more than half way.

Cross Stitch Butterfly WIP

I started this little project last week while I was away at Anime Boston. The first time I tried cross stitch I didn't like it much so I thought I mind as well give it another go. This was a kit I purchased at Jo-Ann. It was the perfect size to be able to carry in my pocket and work on while waiting in lines and such.  I'm not sure how I feel about the colors but no major mistakes yet... Most of the body is finished and will be working on the background soon.

When I took this photo I realized I had missed a few stitches.
